1D.works developed a custom ML-based computer vision solution that:

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Automatically identifies, tracks, and evaluates meals during production.
  • PoS Integration: Feeds current monitoring outputs into the existing PoS workflow for operational review.
  • Data Standardization: Provides structured data for offline analytics and continuous improvement.

Current Status and Intended Use

  • Live Workflow Signals: The prototype produces meal-tracking and quality-assessment outputs for operational review.
  • Structured Data: Standardises observations for later analytics and forecasting experiments.
  • Integration Test: Connects the prototype outputs to the existing PoS workflow.
  • Evaluation Stage: The solution is under testing; chain-wide deployment and efficiency effects have not yet been established.

The implementation provides a technical foundation for evaluating food-monitoring use cases. Operational efficiency, forecast accuracy, and customer-satisfaction outcomes require evidence from the testing programme.
